How Scoring Works
Your score (1–100) shows how closely your guess sounds like the hidden word.

20% of your score is based on starting sound — do the words begin with the same sound?

20% of your score is based on syllable count — how many syllables does each word have?

30% of your score is based on vowels — do the vowel sounds line up throughout the word?

30% of your score is based on word ending — do the words share a similar ending?

We also use a tool called Double Metaphone — similar to what spell-checkers use — to convert both words into phonetic codes and compare them. This nudges your whole score up or down.
